Arion is designed around a powerful backend structure with a unique database created for each instrument vendor. Once the data from an instrument has been imported, various options are available for processing and interrogation with cross analysis of one or more samples or even projects.
The Arion database provides the means to create a vast and powerful repository of biomolecular information providing researcher and analyst with the ability to cross-check, compare, connect and link different entities across many datasets. It supports high volume transaction processing and where appropriate, database queries are performed in parallel, in order to achieve maximum performance.
The core software has been fully optimised to maximise use of the power from the base hardware. The advanced parallel and multi-core processing technologies are actively monitored to guard against undesirable events thereby increasing systems reliability.
